Public Involvement Materials
The U.S. Air Force endeavored to keep the communities involved throughout the Environmental Impact Analysis Process (EIAP) in the development of the EIS. The first major public involvement opportunity was scoping. Between January 25 and May 17, 2010 the Air Force held 23 scoping meetings to solicit the public's comments and concerns on the Proposed Action. These comments were considered in the development of the Draft EIS.
The next major public involvement opportunity is public hearings. The Air Force requests members of the public, government agencies, Federal and state agencies, and environmental groups to review and provide comments on the Draft EIS. Thirteen public hearings will be held for the public to provide comments to the Air Force on the Draft EIS. More information on how to provide comments on the Draft EIS are provided on the Provide Comments page.
The links below include the materials available at the public hearings for each alternative location.
